Description:  A short video clip followed with commentary


Idea:

Video of a beautiful wilderness scene, with a creek running through it.  One piece of garbage.  A garbage bag or a plastic bottle floating down the creek.  Beautiful instrumental music.

Continuing with music, follow with commentary:  “Did you focus on the piece of garbage?  We so easily see the negative.  It seems to shine out so brightly from the (positive).  We must retrain ourselves to better observe, know, and appreciate the (positive).  To retrain our mind’s eye.  It is not a matter of reality, it is a matter of perception.  Begin to allow yourself to see more of the good.


Additional Comment(s):  

This is one demonstration of the fundamental idea.  Other media and other ways to present the media can be used.  Multiple different demonstrations could make up an art series.
